August has been another hot month and another busy few weeks in the shop. The continuous heatwaves have made the gardens a challenge to keep on top of. Our big Victorian building has come into its own and kept us cool throughout! Here is what has been going on in the shop in August:

Showing off our new own brand packaging
At the start of the month we received the first batch of our new own brand packaging with a logo on it. Its a real proud moment when you see your own branding on a product and we have an entire stand of it. Lots of different fixtures and fittings starting from as little as £1.99.
Celebrating the winner of our £25 voucher competition
We recently held a competition for a £25 voucher and were so pleased for Debbie to have won. She has selflessly said she will use the voucher for her work, The Bradgate Unit, to get some plants for the residents. What a gem! We look forward to seeing the plants that are picked and seeing them brighten up the residents day.

A visit from the 5th Generation
We had a lovely surprise visit from Amara & Remmie in their Daymans DIY tops and baby grow. They are already in training at the shop and its very special to see them in our family shop. Also trying to get a photo of us all looking and smiling, if you know you know! This is more than just a shop for us its our families legacy.

44 years and counting for Steve at the shop!
August marks 44 years that Steve has been at Daymans DIY. Here is a photo which was taken a few years back outside of the shop. Lots has changed over the years including his hair line but we are still proud to hold onto our original family values as we have done since 1928.
