Spring has sprung and its been great to see the end of the days of constant rain and some spring sunshine to bring the gardens and us back to life after what seemed like a long winter! Here is what has been going on in the shop in March:

The sunflower challenge begins - grow big to win
Do you recon you can beat Kim & Maddie from last year with their 3.55m sunflower?
We want you to get involved and grow some of your very own sunflowers which are beautiful and great for wildlife. This is a great way to get your kids and family members involved in gardening and have fun. Whether you have a small to no garden or a large garden this challenge is for everyone. Simply buy a pack of sunflower seeds, which we stock here at Daymans DIY, and you will receive a sunflower diary to keep track of your sunflower.
The tallest sunflower at the end of the challenge will receive a prize.

We now have available pick your own fat balls in store so grab a paper bag or bring your own container and pick as many as you would like. This will reduce the amount of plastic packaging and these work out cheaper compared with a standard pack of 6 fat balls. So less money and less plastic what's not to like!

Local delivery update
We have made the difficult decision to increase our free delivery threshold from £30 to £35. This means any orders over £35 will qualify for FREE local delivery and any orders below will incur a delivery charge. The increase is due to the rise in fuel and minimum wage which will come into effect in April. We do offer FREE click and collect so you can order through our website and come and collect if you want to save on the postage. Thank you for your continued support we really appreciate it!

We have finished at Heaps, Sileby
As we previously posted we are really sad to see another family hardware store go. We have been clearing the stock for the last month to ensure this can be sold on and put to use rather than disposed of. We found stock across the decades so pop in to see what we've found. Help support us and keep our family business going.
